Shifted App
SHIFTED
Same situation. Different perspective.
Sometimes the hardest part of a problem isn’t the problem itself.
It’s being stuck inside one way of seeing it.
Shifted helps you step outside your current perspective, explore what else could be true, and find a way of looking at the situation that feels more helpful, balanced, or freeing.
Whether you’re overthinking a conversation, struggling with rejection, questioning yourself, feeling overwhelmed, or simply unable to get something out of your head, Shifted gives you somewhere to put it.
You bring the problem.
Shifted helps you see it differently.
When your mind gets stuck, shift the angle.
We naturally create stories about what happens to us.
“They don’t care about me.”
“I messed everything up.”
“I should be further along by now.”
“They must think badly of me.”
“This is never going to get better.”
Sometimes those thoughts may contain truth. Sometimes they’re assumptions. Sometimes they’re only one possible interpretation of a much bigger situation.
But when you’re emotionally inside the problem, it can be incredibly difficult to see anything else.
That’s what Shifted is for.
Enter what’s bothering you, and Shifted helps you explore multiple perspectives on the same situation.
Not to tell you that you’re wrong.
Not to force positivity.
Not to dismiss what you’re feeling.
Just to help you see what you might not be able to see from where you’re standing.
HOW SHIFTED WORKS
1. Tell Shifted what’s happening
Write about the situation exactly as it feels to you.
It can be something big or something seemingly small.
A relationship problem.
An awkward interaction.
A mistake you keep replaying.
Something you’re afraid will happen.
A decision you can’t make.
A thought you can’t let go of.
There’s no perfect way to explain it.
Just start where you are.
2. Explore new perspectives
Shifted generates a range of different ways to look at your situation.
Some may challenge your first interpretation.
Some may help you understand another person.
Some may bring your attention back to what you can control.
Some may help you recognize assumptions, patterns, possibilities, or information you hadn’t considered.
And sometimes one perspective simply makes you think:
“I never looked at it that way.”
That’s the shift.
3. Find what resonates
You don’t have to agree with every perspective.
Choose the ones that actually mean something to you.
Shifted isn’t trying to replace your judgment. It’s designed to expand the information your mind has available before you decide what something means.
You can also add perspectives of your own.
Over time, you’re not just collecting answers.
You’re practicing the ability to shift perspective yourself.
MORE THAN POSITIVE THINKING
Shifted isn’t about turning every negative thought into a positive one.
Sometimes things hurt.
Sometimes people disappoint us.
Sometimes situations really are unfair, difficult, uncertain, or outside our control.
Perspective shifting doesn’t require pretending otherwise.
Instead of asking:
“How can I make this positive?”
Shifted asks:
“What else might be true?”
That difference matters.
There may be another explanation.
There may be something you’re assuming.
There may be a part of the situation you can control.
There may be a lesson you haven't seen yet.
There may be a perspective that allows two seemingly opposite things to be true at once.
Or there may simply be a kinder and more useful way to carry something you cannot change.
BUILT FOR OVERTHINKERS
If your brain can turn one interaction into three hours of analysis, Shifted was made with that experience in mind.
Instead of continuing the same mental loop, put the thought somewhere.
Let Shifted help you examine it from outside of yourself.
The goal isn't to stop thinking.
It's to give your thinking somewhere new to go.
SEE YOUR PATTERNS
Individual moments can feel disconnected.
Over time, they often aren't.
Shifted's Insights help you look back at your reflections and notice recurring themes across your experiences.
Explore weekly and monthly insights, revisit previous periods, and discover patterns in the situations you struggle with, the perspectives that resonate with you, and the things you repeatedly appreciate.
The more you understand your patterns, the easier they become to recognize while they're happening.
PRACTICE PERSPECTIVE SHIFTING
Shifted includes interactive exercises designed to strengthen the same skill the app is built around: learning to look again.
Explore experiences such as:
Fact or Story?
Separate what you actually know from the story your mind may be building around it.
Perspective Roulette
Explore an unexpected angle on something you're experiencing.
The Thought Spiral
Notice how one thought can lead to another—and where you might interrupt the pattern.
Same Situation, Different Person
See how the exact same event can mean something completely different depending on who is experiencing it.
Change One Word
Discover how a small change in language can change the emotional meaning of a thought.
What Can You Control?
Separate what belongs to you from what doesn't.
These aren't about getting the “right” answer.
They're practice for developing a more flexible mind.
SAVE THE SHIFTS THAT MATTER
Some realizations are worth coming back to.
Save your Shifted sessions and revisit the perspectives that helped you see something differently.
A perspective that doesn't feel important today may become exactly what you need later.
Your saved sessions create a personal record of the moments when your thinking changed.
YOU DON'T NEED TO CHANGE THE SITUATION TO CHANGE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH IT
We spend enormous amounts of energy trying to control things we often can't control:
What someone thinks of us.
What already happened.
What another person chooses.
Whether everyone understands us.
Whether life follows the timeline we expected.
Shifted doesn't promise to make those things disappear.
It gives you another option:
Change where you're standing when you look at them.
Because sometimes nothing outside of you has changed yet—
but the moment you see it differently,
everything feels different.
ONE PROBLEM. MANY PERSPECTIVES.
You already know the situation from inside your own mind.
See what happens when you look at it from somewhere else.
Get Shifted.
Same situation. Different perspective.
